2023年12月13日、OpenAIのCEOであるサム・アルトマンは、AIチャットボット「ChatGPT Plus」の新規登録を再開すると発表しました。ChatGPT Plusは月額20ドルの有料サービスで、大規模言語モデル「GPT-4」などを利用できます。11月中旬に一時的に新規登録を停止した背景には、利用者数の急増がありました。ChatGPT Plusの新規登録再開により、ユーザーは月額料金を支払うことでChatGPTの一般利用、迅速な応答時間、新機能や改善への優先アクセスなどの特典を享受できます。また、GPT-4のほか、カスタム版のChatGPTである「GPTs」の利用も可能となります[1][2]。
